What happens if I don't pass the exam?
What's the deal with the webcam?
- Registering for the exam is completed through the Google For Education Teacher Center website and their third-party test administration partner ProctorU. Please watch the tutorial video "How to Register for the Google Certified Educator Level 1 Exam" on the Help Videos page for more detailed instructions.
How much does it cost? How will I be reimbursed?
- The Google Certified Educator Level 1 Exam costs $10.00. You will receive an e-mail with a certificate of completion when you pass the exam. Forward that e-mail, with the certificate attached, to your building administrator(s). You will then be provided more details on the reimbursement of your exam fee.
What happens if I don't pass the exam?
- If you don't pass the exam, you will be able to take the exam again after a 14-day waiting period. If you don't pass the exam on your second attempt, you will be able to take the exam again after a 60-day waiting period. A separate $10.00 payment is required for each test, but KQPS will only reimburse you for one of your $10.00 payments.
What's the deal with the webcam?
- Before you start the exam, you will be prompted to take your photo using your computer's webcam. This is used to identify you as the person who is taking the exam. Throughout the exam, photos will be taken sporadically to make sure that you are the only person taking the exam. Video will not be recorded - only still photos.
